Apothecary goods are the things you keep within reach: a jar of honey, a paste you stir into warm water, a tea you steep at the end of a long day. This collection is built around raw honey and the herbs and spices that pair with it.
These are kitchen items as much as wellness items. They belong on the counter, not tucked away in a cabinet.
Unfiltered means the honey keeps its pollen, propolis, and natural texture. It will crystallize over time. Set the jar in a bowl of hot water and it returns to liquid. Use it in tea, on toast, or straight from the spoon.
Turmeric stirred into raw honey. Take it by the spoonful, or dissolve a teaspoon in warm milk or water. The color stains, so use a spoon you are not precious about.
Cacao and honey, nothing else. Richer and less sharp than the turmeric. Good stirred into hot water or spread on bread.
The blend changes with what is available and what the season calls for. Steep one teaspoon per cup for five minutes, covered, so the aromatics stay in the cup instead of the air.
Honey and honey pastes keep at room temperature indefinitely. Do not refrigerate, and keep water out of the jar. Tea blends hold their character for about a year in a sealed container away from light.
Remedios means remedies. These recipes come out of a tradition of keeping simple things on hand and reaching for them first. Nothing here is complicated, and that is the point.
Because we work in small batches with seasonal ingredients, color, texture, and scent will vary between jars.
